The Curse Of Monkey Island | Game+soundtrack | Portable

The Curse of Monkey Island is an adventure game developed and published by LucasArts, and the third game in the Monkey Island series. It was released in 1997 and followed the successful games The Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge. The game is the twelfth and last LucasArts game to use the SCUMM engine, which was extensively upgraded for its last outing before being replaced by the GrimE engine for the next game in the series, Escape from Monkey Island. The Curse of Monkey Island is the first Monkey Island game to include voice acting, and has a more cartoon-ish graphic style than the earlier games.

The game’s story centers around Guybrush Threepwood, a wannabe pirate who must lift a curse from his love Elaine Marley. As the story progresses, he must deal with a band of mysterious pirates and a French buccaneer, as well as his old archnemesis LeChuck.

This is the third installment of the incredible Monkey Island franchise and one of my favorite games, this upload is a special compressed edition (everything is complete) that only weighs around 700MB but includes the full game, the soundtrack and the CD covers, it’s been personally tested on Windows XP and Windows Vista, requires ScummVM (latest version included). This does not require an installation so it can be used directly from a flash memory or similar.

Instructions:
1. Extract the files
2. Extract the monkey3 and ScummVM 0.11 archive.
3. Open ScummVM.exe and select add game, open “monkey3″ (the folder you just extracted) and press choose.
4. You can now play by opening ScummVM and selecting the game from the list, press F5 to open the menu, you can apply filters and play full-screen with ScummVM.
*The soundtrack are regular MP3 files and the covers are regular JPG files, they are NOT needed to play the main game, they are just extras
